With these UNOX warranty conditions (hereinafter the “Conditions”), UNOX S.p.A. (hereinafter referred to as “UNOX”) grants the Final Purchaser the possibility to activate the warranty under the following terms and conditions (hereinafter the “Warranty”).
In these Conditions, the following capitalized terms shall have the meanings assigned to them below:
- “Final Purchaser”: the final purchaser of one or more products purchased from a UNOX Dealer;
- “UNOX Dealer”: the UNOX dealer or sales partner from whom the Final Purchaser purchased the Product;
- “UNOX Service Partner”: the UNOX partner providing technical support services aimed at устранating the causes of a fault or malfunction and ensuring proper operation;
- “Products”: the products of UNOX S.p.A.
To benefit from the Warranty, registration must be completed for this purpose on the website www.unox.com no later than 30 days from the date indicated on the sales invoice issued by the Dealer to the Final Purchaser, or from the date of installation of the Product at the Final Purchaser’s premises, provided that documentation proving such installation date is produced and that UNOX, at its sole discretion, deems such documentation valid.
The Warranty shall become effective from the date indicated on the sales invoice for the Product issued by the Dealer to the user of the Product, or, if earlier, from the date of installation of the Product at the Final Purchaser’s premises. The Final Purchaser must provide documentation evidencing the effective date and, if UNOX, at its sole discretion, does not consider such documentation valid, the effective date shall be the date indicated on the sales invoice issued by UNOX to the Dealer.
If the Final Purchaser activates the warranty and registers the Product in the Warranty section of the website www.unox.com by completing the required information, the validity period of this Warranty shall be 12 months for labor hours and spare parts.
In order to make use of the Warranty, the Final Purchaser must provide the UNOX Service Partner with evidence of the name of the UNOX Dealer, the date and place of installation, and the Product model, by means of a written confirmation or installation invoice issued by the UNOX Dealer.
During the validity period of the Warranty, UNOX shall remedy faults and malfunctions where a link to defects in materials or workmanship can be demonstrated. At UNOX’s discretion, UNOX may decide to repair the Product, replace defective parts, or replace the Product.
The performance of any service under the Warranty during its validity period shall neither extend its duration nor renew it.
In the event of replacement of the Product or any of its parts, the replaced Product or replaced parts shall become the property of UNOX.
For all interventions carried out by UNOX during the validity period of the Warranty, the costs and risks of transporting the Product or any of its parts shall be borne by the Final Purchaser.
The Final Purchaser must notify UNOX or the UNOX Service Partner in writing of any defect in the Product within 5 working days of discovering it. The date of receipt of the notice by the UNOX Service Partner or by UNOX itself shall be deemed authoritative.
The Warranty shall not apply:
- in the event of defects in the Product arising from improper installation, as well as defects resulting from repair attempts carried out by unqualified personnel or in a manner not compliant with instructions, interventions by unauthorized third parties, improper or incorrect use, or failure to comply with the operating instructions;
- where the instructions set out in the installation or user manual are not followed, where the prescribed maintenance and inspection cycles are not observed, or where cleaning or treatment products not expressly authorized by UNOX are used. The same applies to defects attributable to the operating environment, such as, for example, the use of water that does not comply with the specifications set out in the installation and user manual, poor-quality gas, or power with inadequate output or voltage. Any damage due to overvoltage is excluded from the Warranty;
- consumable and wear parts, such as light bulbs, gaskets, etc., as well as damage to glass, are excluded from the Warranty;
- in the event of damage and malfunctions resulting from limescale deposits in the appliance;
- in the event of use of automatic oven washing products other than official UNOX products (UNOX Det&Rinse);
- natural wear and tear of the Product;
- where non-original UNOX spare parts or wear parts are used, regardless of whether the defects or damage can be attributed to them;
- where the Product has not been used in compliance with the technical regulations of the country in which it was installed.
This Warranty shall be valid exclusively for Products purchased in Italy.
Pursuant to Articles 1341 and 1342 of the Italian Civil Code, the Final Purchaser declares that they have read and specifically accepted the provisions set forth in the following articles of this Warranty:
- Article 2 (registration deadline);
- Article 6 (Warranty terms and conditions);
- Article 8 (ownership of the replaced Product);
- Article 9 (transport costs and risks);
- Article 10 (deadline for reporting defects);
- Article 11 (limitations of the Warranty).
